We have such generous communities! 96 pieces of equipment were donated this Thanksgiving weekend!! Your kindness will enable many kids to play sports!
A heart felt Thank You to Mrs. Becky Allen White, Moore Park Tennis Club and Leaside Memorial Arena, for helping with the collection of all the donations!
About half of the donations will be delivered to Thorncliffe Public School to enhance children’s sports programs.
Some items, such as basketballs, have already been given to their students!
The other half will be delivered to the Christie Refugee Welcome Center. I help them kickstart After School Sports Programming for their refugee children.
I also help them kickstart Learn to State and Learn to Hockey Programming this winter.
Now they have the hockey equipment they needed to learn our nation’s sports, just like our local kids!
