Last week marked my second equipment donation drop-off since I began this initiative three weeks ago!
I delivered the generous donations collected from Moore Park Tennis Club and East York Baseball Camp, to the Christie Refugee Welcome Centre in Toronto.
Nearly half of the refugees they serve are children, some as young as six years old, my age!
They are in desperate need of sports equipment donations to kickstart after-school programs for these children in need, such as tennis lessons and Learn To Skate.
Thank you so much, Moore Park Tennis Club and East York Baseball Camp! You made my second donation drop-off possible.
It was priceless to see the smiles on their faces. Every child deserves a chance to play!
Some of these kids in need might even make it to the Hall of Fame one day. Let’s help them achieve their dreams!
